About Revive
What is Revive?
We are the youth of The King's Church in Solihull.
Our aim is to
"Empower the young people of Solihull to experience God, transform their community and change the world."
Discipleship
The Discipleship Team’s purpose is to enable members of Revive to grow in their relationship with God. Whether you have simply got some questions about life or whether you want to explore and develop your faith we have programmes and events for everybody.
United
United is our fortnightly club for any 11-18 year olds. The purpose of United is simply to have a great time together in God’s presence. We have food, drink, games, pool etc. and most weeks there is either live worship music or the opportunity to experiment with your artistic side. If you want somewhere warm and welcoming to hang around with your mates then United is the place to be. Fridays, 8-10.30pm , Solihull Methodist Church Hall.
Lifegroups
If you have serious questions about life and/or you want to develop your Christian faith then a Lifegroup is definitely the place for you. We have a Lads’ group on Tuesdays led by Rich and Nathan and a Girls’ group on Thursdays led by Pip and Susie . We meet once a fortnight, usually in someone’s house, and chat about life, look at what the Bible says and pray together. They are really informal and a great way to build strong friendships with other Christians.
E37
E37 is a half-termly meeting for the core members of Revive. We meet for a few hours to worship God, seek his heart for the group and receive some in-depth teaching from the Bible. The aim is that our lives will be impacted and changed as a result of spending quality time with God.
Mentoring
Mentoring is where a Revive member gets together regularly with an older Christian from The King’s Church. The idea is that adults have a wealth of experience and knowledge and it is great to build strong friendships with them. In a typical mentoring session you might chat about the week, read the Bible and pray together. They shouldn’t be formal and might include doing everyday tasks together in order to get to know each other better. Usually the mentor will learn as much from you as you will from them!
Sunday Celebration
Revive is the youth department of The King’s Church so each Sunday morning we meet with all the other members of the church. Here we worship God together and hear teaching from the Bible. It is a good opportunity to meet up and build friendships with other Christians. If you’re in Years 6-9 then during the main service you get together for a group called Warriors. Whatever age you are you are encouraged to help out by serving on one of the Sunday morning teams. This could involve setting out the room, welcoming people, helping with the kids’ work or playing in the band. This takes place at Tudor Grange Upper School Hall from 10.30am.
Warriors
Warriors takes place during the main Sunday morning service at Tudor Grange School and is aimed at young people in Years 6 to 9. The group provides opportunity to learn more about God and support each other plus there’s always a bit of food and drink! Every half-term the Warriors go out for some sort of social together. This has included lazer-quest and bowling in the past.
Weekend Away
Each year we go away together as a youth group for a weekend residential. Any of our members who have been before can recommend it as a fantastic experience.
